About this role

Home of the Innocents is seeking a dedicated RN, Residential Nurse Manager to lead nursing operations within our Residential Treatment and Emergency Shelter programs. This role provides leadership, mentorship, and clinical oversight for youth with complex behavioral, emotional, and medical needs.

As the Residential Nurse Manager, you will lead the residential nursing team, offering clinical oversight, staff development, and operational support. You'll partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care and regulatory compliance.

This full-time exempt position offers professional development and continuing education opportunities within a growing organization. You'll contribute to expanding services, including the Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center, impacting youth across Kentucky.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current, unencumbered Kentucky RN license
  • Five years of RN experience; psychiatric, residential, or acute care experience preferred
  • Two years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (provided if needed)
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills
  • Experience with EHR systems
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, trauma-informed environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead Residential nursing operations and clinical services
  • Supervise, coach, and develop nursing staff and CMAs
  • Ensure safe, high-quality nursing care and medication management
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
  • Monitor resident health and respond to changes in condition
  • Maintain regulatory and accreditation compliance
  • Support quality improvement, safety, and infection prevention efforts
