South Coast Nursing Homes is a family-owned, successful care home company based in West Sussex, operating nine homes with 414 beds across East and West Sussex. Opened in 2018, Blatchington Manor is a purpose-built specialist dementia residential care home in Seaford, East Sussex, offering high-quality dedicated care for residents living with memory loss, including Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

As the registered manager, you will lead and manage the home's day-to-day operations, working closely with your management team to ensure the highest standards in relationship-centred care, clinical compliance, hospitality services, and business performance. You will inspire and empower the team to achieve positive outcomes, oversee supervision, appraisal, and performance management, and foster alignment with the company's ethos and evidence-based practice.

You will regularly communicate with residents, relatives, external professionals, and Directors, managing financial budgets to meet revenue and income targets. Requirements

  • Experienced as a dementia specialist with deep knowledge of best practices and innovation in dementia care
  • Adult RGN/RMN with managerial experience or an experienced Manager with an NVQ Level 5 or above
  • An inspirational leader with absolute integrity, credibility, and the ability to be a role model
  • Ability to think on your feet and work under pressure when dealing with multiple tasks
  • Good communication skills and the ability to get on with people at all levels from Director downwards
  • A problem solver and solution provider as well as a quick learner
  • A natural affinity to care for other people

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the operation as the registered manager of the home
  • Lead, support, empower and inspire the team to ensure positive outcomes for the home
  • Take overall responsibility for the supervision, appraisal and performance management of the team
  • Ensure the team is aligned with the South Coast Nursing Homes ethos and implementing evidence-based practice
  • Lead regular communication with residents, relatives, external professionals and Directors
  • Manage financial budgets to ensure revenue and income targets are met
  • Oversee clinical compliance, hospitality services, and business performance across the home
