About this role

As an Oncology Staff Nurse at Brigham and Women's Hospital, you will care for a broad range of patients with hematological and solid-tumor cancer diagnoses. This role offers the chance to administer life-saving treatments including Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Stem Cell Transplants, and CAR-T.

You will provide patient and family education and support throughout their admission, working collaboratively with a strong supportive team to ensure excellent care in the safest environment. You will also participate in the BWH shared governance structure to help make improvements and foster new ideas.

The BWH/DFCI Cancer Center supports many different research studies and protocols, placing you at the frontlines of cancer treatment. The oncology team is one of the largest service lines at BWH, offering an exciting and rewarding environment for nursing professionals.

As a BWH Oncology nurse, you will be trained to administer advanced therapies and have opportunities to foster new ideas through shared governance. This role allows you to contribute to groundbreaking medical discoveries while providing exceptional care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts
  • For newly licensed nurses, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required
  • Prior oncology experience preferred
  • Membership in professional organizations is recommended and certification in a specialty area is encouraged
  • Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract
  • Competency in administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and biotherapy
