Requirements

• Current applicable state RN license required.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• One year of registered nursing experience or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program or equivalent nursing program.
• BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred; BSN may be required for specific assignments.
• Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
• Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
• Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department.

Responsibilities

• Assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System.
• Provide care for adult cardiology patients, including those with acute coronary syndrome, chest pain, and pre-and-post cardiac procedure patients.
• Manage patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, including those with permanent pacemakers, ICDs, and coronary angiograms.
• Care for patients with congestive heart failure, general medical conditions, and those needing CAPD, stable trach, or seizure monitoring.
• Participate as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee.
• Serve as an advocate, communicator, problem-solver, and caregiver for patients and their families.
• Document patient care and navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
