Legacy Health is seeking an RN Staff Nurse for the Progressive Cardiac Care Unit at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, Southwest Washington's most modern hospital. In this role, you will care for adult cardiology patients, including those with acute coronary syndrome, chest pain, congestive heart failure, and those requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. You will also manage patients with pacemaker placements, ICDs, coronary angiograms, and general medical conditions such as diabetes, COPD, asthma, ESRD, and addiction-related illnesses.

Requirements
- Current applicable state RN license required.
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
- One year of registered nursing experience or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program or equivalent nursing program.
- BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred; BSN may be required for specific assignments.
- Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
- Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department.
Responsibilities
- Assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System.
- Provide care for adult cardiology patients, including those with acute coronary syndrome, chest pain, and pre-and-post cardiac procedure patients.
- Manage patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, including those with permanent pacemakers, ICDs, and coronary angiograms.
- Care for patients with congestive heart failure, general medical conditions, and those needing CAPD, stable trach, or seizure monitoring.
- Participate as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee.
- Serve as an advocate, communicator, problem-solver, and caregiver for patients and their families.
- Document patient care and navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
