About this role

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) at Riverview Regional Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare in Gadsden, AL. The NP focuses on providing general care to patients of all ages with patience, care, compassion, and understanding.

This role requires Wound Care Certified (WCC or WOCN) credentials. The NP performs tasks within their scope of practice, including conducting tests, recording medical histories, providing treatments, and prescribing medications.

This is a Per Diem position offering an 8-hour day shift, Thursdays only. You will work alongside physicians to assist in patient care and enhance public awareness of health importance.

Requirements

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with specialization as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP)
Current state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse
Wound Care Certified (WCC or WOCN) upon hire
BLS certification upon hire and maintained current
Previous experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
One to two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred

Responsibilities

Provide general care to patients of all ages with utmost patience, care, compassion, and understanding
Perform wound assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Conduct tests, record medical histories, and provide treatments within scope of practice
Assist physicians in patient care and clinical procedures
Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses
Enhance public awareness on the importance of health and preventive care
Document patient encounters accurately using electronic health records
