Requirements

  • Current New York State RN license
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • BCLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • At least two years of RN experience in acute care operating room (preferred)
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Commitment to excellence and a constant spirit of professionalism

Responsibilities

  • Care for patients and families within the Main Operating Room, providing perioperative nursing support
  • Pioneer advances in scarless surgery techniques and multi-organ autoplantation alongside clinical teams
  • Lead patient recoveries and serve as the voice for patients during surgical procedures
  • Prepare and maintain sterile operating room environments for a variety of surgical cases
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes during surgery, ensuring safety and comfort
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other nursing staff to coordinate seamless care
  • Assist in procedures and document patient care accurately in accordance with hospital protocols
