About this role

Priory Burston House is looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to join the team, providing level 2 rehabilitation for male patients with a learning disability. The hospital is located in the historic market town of Diss, near the border of Suffolk.

In this role, you will deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework, assessing and planning nursing care with patients and their families. You will accurately observe and engage with patients to assess their needs and evaluate their progress, monitoring and reviewing nursing care plans as needed.

You will be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. Your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

Requirements

Current NMC registration
Successfully completed a preceptorship programme
Strong understanding of NMC guidelines, standards, and professional practices
Clear evidence of continued professional development following registration
Resilience and natural empathy to support others through both the highs and lows

Responsibilities

Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework
Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes
Act as the patient's named nurse
Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress
Monitor and review Nursing Care plans
Evaluate and respond to changes in patient's condition and needs
