About this role
Signet Health manages Behavioral Health Services at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, a 926-bed academic medical center. We seek a PRN Advanced Practice Provider with Acute Care Experience to perform H&P's on newly admitted behavioral health patients, follow through on other medical illnesses, and participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning as needed.
Daily responsibilities include performing H&P's on newly admitted patients, participating in agency-wide training programs and in-services, and ensuring timely clinical documentation per Joint Commission requirements. Rotations throughout Washington Hospital Center are part of the role, as is collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team.

Requirements
- Acute Care Experience required.
- Proficiency in interpersonal communication and interdisciplinary teamwork.
- Master's, postgraduate, or doctoral degree as an Advanced Practice Provider from a program accredited by CCNE or ACEN.
- Eligible for Acute or Acute Adult Nurse Practitioner certification through ANCC.
- Effective problem-solving skills and excellent oral/written communication.
- Flexibility adjusting to the needs of a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform H&P's on newly admitted patients on behavioral health inpatient units and follow through on other medical illnesses.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning as needed.
- Participate in agency-wide training programs and in-services.
- Provide quality and timely clinical documentation per Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies’ requirements.
- Perform rotations throughout Washington Hospital Center.
- Manage acute medical conditions in behavioral health patients, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
