The Burn OR Staff Nurse II delivers clinical care using the Eskenazi Health Model of Care-Synergy, coordinating with patients, families, and healthcare disciplines to ensure appropriate care.

Day-to-day responsibilities include performing all nursing functions efficiently in accordance with policies, the Indiana Nursing Practice Act, and the Synergy Model. The nurse utilizes and documents the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, acknowledging physiological, psychological, spiritual, and cultural needs.

The nurse promotes a healthy work environment and encourages collaboration for excellence in patient care outcomes. They engage patients and significant others with timely health information, demonstrate ability to handle emergency situations calmly and professionally, and participate in shared governance at the unit and hospital-wide level.

Requirements

  • Current Indiana Registered Nurse license
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • Ability to effectively perform all nursing functions in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Understanding of the Synergy Model of Care and its application to clinical practice
  • Demonstrated clinical judgment, advocacy, and collaboration skills
