About this role

Frankston City Council is seeking Maternal and Child Health Nurses to deliver the Victorian Maternal and Child Health Service to families within the municipality. This permanent 0.8FTE part-time position offers the opportunity to work in a community where the beach meets the natural landscapes of the Mornington Peninsula.

In this role, you will actively participate in a responsive, holistic, and flexible MCH Service that optimizes health, well-being, learning, development, and safety outcomes for children from birth to six years. You will use a strength-based, family-centred approach to support families and deliver high-quality services that meet state and local government objectives.

Requirements

Hold an accredited post-graduate tertiary qualification leading to Maternal and Child Health Nursing
Current AHPRA registrations with both Registered Nurse (Division 1), General and Registered Midwife
Experience in Microsoft Office Applications and Child Development Information System (CDIS)
Completed all mandatory professional development as directed by the Department of Health for MCH services, including Cultural Competence, Sleep & Settling Model of Care, MARAM and Information Sharing, MERTIL and MOSAIC

Responsibilities

Deliver the Victorian Maternal and Child Health Service to families within the municipality
Actively participate and contribute to a responsive, holistic, and flexible Maternal and Child Health Service
Optimize health, well-being, learning, development, and safety outcomes for children from birth to 6 years of age and their families
Use a strength-based, family-centred approach in all interactions
Deliver a high-quality service that meets State and Local government objectives and targets
Work within professional standards and guidelines of practice to improve outcomes for all children
