RN/RPN - Foot Care Nurse - Part-Time

Requirements

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (RN or RPN).
• Advanced Foot Care Certification.
• Valid Ontario G2 or G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to provide care in community clinics, long-term care homes, and home settings.
• Commitment to client and family centred care.
• Knowledge of College of Nurses of Ontario Practice Standards and community health nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and coordinate care planning for clients with foot care needs.
• Evaluate care plan interventions through ongoing reassessment and outcome evaluation.
• Ensure quality of patient care by identifying and acting on factors affecting practice autonomy.
• Demonstrate professionalism, leadership, judgment, and accountability in interactions with clients and families.
• Support safe client care by developing knowledge and skills in line with continuous quality improvement.
• Inform the nursing supervisor of any client activities, concerns, or changes in condition and submit appropriate documentation.
• Maintain documentation standards according to the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Provide comprehensive foot care with emphasis on prevention, treatment, and ongoing management.
