About this role

Utilizing the nursing process, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides patient care based on scientific principles and evidence-based practice. You will implement physician orders accurately, recognize changes in patient condition, and intervene appropriately while prioritizing nursing actions.
This role works collaboratively with all other disciplines on the assigned unit, providing routine care for the sick or injured. Ongoing training will provide you with the tools to be successful in your wound care role.

Requirements
- Valid LPN nursing license required
- Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association required
- Prior experience working with wound care patients preferred (will train)
- Experience with billing and coding preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient needs effectively
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care based on scientific principles, nursing theory, and evidence-based practice
- Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames
- Recognize change in the patient’s condition and intervene appropriately
- Prioritize nursing actions reflecting patient needs, acuity, and desired outcome
- Perform wound assessments and apply appropriate dressings as trained
- Educate patients and families on wound care management and prevention
