As an LPN or RN Pediatric Home Health Nurse at Phoenix Home Care and Hospice, you focus on one patient at a time in private duty nursing, becoming a lifeline for families by providing skilled care for children and young adults with complex medical needs.

Requirements

Current and active LPN or RN license.
Genuine love for patient-centered care and a desire to make a visible impact.
Passion for working with children; pediatric experience is a plus but not required.
Ability to work PRN day shifts with flexible scheduling.
Current CPR certification.
Reliable transportation to provide in-home care in the Wichita area.

Responsibilities

Provide expert, specialized nursing care for children and young adults with complex medical needs in their homes.
Build genuine bonds with patients and become a trusted partner to their families.
Help children thrive where they feel safest—at home.
Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage medical equipment such as feeding tubes or ventilators.
Coordinate care with families and the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Document patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the supervising physician.
Provide training and support to family caregivers to promote independence and confidence.
