About this role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of an Oncology/SACT Senior Staff Nurse at our stand-alone oncology unit at Springfield Hospital. The successful applicant will be an experienced nurse who is motivated and forward thinking for the continued success of the department.
In this part-time role of 19 hours per week, you will lead a team and work independently as required, organising oncology care for private cancer patients. You will be responsible for delivering both chemotherapy and immunotherapies in our dedicated oncology building with 8 chairs.
Springfield Hospital is a 64-bedded private hospital with en suite facilities, a 14-bed Day unit, and a high dependency unit. We are continually introducing new technology to ensure the best experience for our patients and support for our hard working teams.

Requirements
- NMC Registered Nurse
- Post Registration Qualification/Course in Chemotherapy Administration
- Proven ability to lead a team and work independently as required
- Experience in organising oncology care
- Motivated and forward thinking approach
Responsibilities
- Lead a team and work independently as required within the oncology unit
- Organise and coordinate oncology care for private cancer patients
- Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapies in the designated oncology building
- Ensure patient safety, dignity, and confidentiality at all times
- Support the continued success and development of the department
