About this role
Legacy Health is seeking an RN Staff Nurse to join the Emergency Department at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, Southwest Washington's most modern hospital. Our nursing philosophy centers on patients and their families, with nurses serving as advocates, communicators, problem-solvers, and caregivers.
In this role, you will assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care following established patient care standards. You will work within a 32-bed Emergency Department that sees 75,000 annual visits, utilizing a unique triage intake process with a provider in triage to improve patient flow and satisfaction.

Requirements
- Current applicable state RN license required
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required
- One year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program equivalent in content, curriculum, and duration
- Emergency RN experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions
Responsibilities
- Assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System
- Participate as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee
- Serve as an advocate, communicator, problem-solver, and caregiver for patients and their families
- Manage patient care within the Emergency Department, including triage and patient flow processes
- Collaborate with the health care team to ensure patient assessment and transfer standards are met
- Utilize keyboard skills and navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions
