About this role
This part-time Residential Care Assistant role supports older people to live their lives their way. The position is permanent and involves 18 hours per week at Beaconview Residential Care Home. Candidates must demonstrate the right values, attitude, and behaviours.
Staff provide personal care and support to residents including adults living with dementia. Shifts follow a two-week rota covering evenings and weekends. The focus remains on delivering care with kindness, dignity, and compassion at all times.
The committed team delivers care across sixteen care homes and thirteen day centres throughout Lancashire. Over one thousand adults receive support from services that prioritise safety and individual choice for every resident.
Training is fully funded to help staff meet the standards of the Care Certificate. A comprehensive induction programme prepares new team members for their duties. Opportunities exist to progress within the service.
Requirements
- Demonstrate the right values, attitude and behaviours for the role
- Willingness to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service disclosure
- Ability to work the published part-time shift pattern
- Evidence of relevant experience and education in the application
- Not eligible for international sponsorship for this post
Responsibilities
- Support older people with personal care and daily living activities
- Assist residents living with dementia while maintaining dignity and respect
- Work the specified two-week evening rota including weekends
- Follow the service vision of safe, kind and compassionate care
- Complete funded training to meet Care Certificate standards
- Report changes in resident health and wellbeing to the team
- Contribute to a safe environment across the residential home
