About this role
This role is for a Wound Care RN at a new 60-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital opening in August 2026 in Galloway, New Jersey. The hospital is a partnership between AtlantiCare and Select Medical, serving patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, and orthopedic conditions.
In this position, you will establish a leadership role in the wound care program, developing evidence-based clinical protocols and algorithms to support the best outcomes. You will also establish competencies for clinicians and collaborate with medical leadership on wound care initiatives and research.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team including rehabilitation nurses, physical and occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, and case managers. The hospital is committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care in a supportive environment.

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey.
- Wound care certification (e.g., CWCN, CWON, or WOCN) preferred.
- Experience in wound care program development and implementation.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills specific to wound management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and medical leadership.
- Experience developing and delivering educational programs for clinical staff.
Responsibilities
- Establishes a leadership role in the wound care program, setting standards of care across the hospital in collaboration with Select Medical wound care experts.
- Develops and deploys evidence-based clinical protocols and algorithms for wound management, including updating the product formulary.
- Establishes competencies for clinicians regarding wound care.
- Collaborates with medical leadership on wound care initiatives, research questions, and outcome measures to support program innovation.
- Develops educational modules for wound care for internal and external education, including patient and family teaching tools.
- Analyzes patterns of wounds across programs and identifies targeted performance improvement activities to improve wound outcomes.
- Coordinates competency evaluation and testing for professional staff in collaboration with clinical departments.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of nursing and other clinical education programs.
