About this role

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our nursing team at our newest facility in Laurel Run, PA. In this role, you will provide crucial nursing support to patients undergoing treatment for substance use disorders and mental health conditions.

Your day-to-day involves conducting comprehensive nursing assessments, administering medications as directed by the medical provider, and completing nursing documentation in accordance with facility and state requirements. You will also facilitate medication education and collaborate with patients, families, and referral sources to coordinate post-discharge recovery plans.

You will work on-site with a dynamic team that fosters growth and ensures the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting life-changing outcomes for individuals overcoming addiction and mental health adversities.

Requirements

  • Active LPN license in Pennsylvania
  • Nursing degree/diploma from an accredited school of Nursing
  • Strong assessment and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to maintain objectivity and empathy in patient interactions
  • Adherence to the Healthcare Code of Ethics
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission Standards
  • Knowledge of State and Federal confidentiality regulations

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including ASAM forms
  • Provide routine care at various levels of care
  • Administer medications as directed by the medical provider
  • Complete nursing documentation in accordance with facility and state requirements
  • Facilitate medication education and incorporate nursing and medical issues into treatment plans
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and referral sources to provide progress updates and coordinate post-discharge recovery plans
  • Apply clinical judgment and intervention skills in crisis situations, including risk assessments and de-escalation
  • Tailor nursing approaches to meet diverse patient needs
