About this role

This part-time role offers the opportunity to make a real and positive difference to the lives of older people at Woodhill House Residential Care Home in Morecambe. You will support older people to live their lives their way, working a two-week rota with shifts from 08.00 to 15.30.

Your day-to-day work will involve providing care with kindness, dignity, and compassion, helping residents maintain their independence and wellbeing. The role is based in a committed team that runs 16 Care Homes and 13 Day Centres across Lancashire, supporting older people and adults living with dementia.

You will join a service with a clear vision: to be the best quality service, safely supporting older people with care and compassion. The team provides support to more than 1,000 adults across Lancashire, and you will be part of a supportive environment that values the right values, attitude, and behaviours.

Lancashire County Council offers a comprehensive induction programme and will pay for training to help you work competently against the standards of The Care Certificate. There are also opportunities to progress within the organisation.

Requirements

  • Right values, attitude, and behaviours to support older people
  • Willingness to complete training and work towards The Care Certificate standards
  • Ability to demonstrate how you meet the criteria for this role in the application experience and education sections
  • Commitment to providing care with kindness, dignity, and compassion
  • Must be able to work the specified part-time rota hours

Responsibilities

  • Support older people to live their lives their way with kindness, dignity, care, and compassion
  • Provide care to residents at Woodhill House Residential Care Home
  • Work a two-week rota including Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday shifts from 08.00 to 15.30
  • Assist with daily living activities to promote independence and wellbeing
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment for older people and adults living with dementia
  • Work competently against the standards of The Care Certificate following training
