As a Staff Nurse, you will lead the team, continuously assessing, planning, and evaluating residents' needs and wishes. Your day involves providing excellent nursing care, overseeing medicine management per NMC Standards, and creating treatment plans in a safe, caring environment.

You will support the Service Manager by promoting high standards of nursing care and ensuring smooth shift supervision. Guiding, teaching, and mentoring your team members is a key part of this role, working in partnership with the Manager to ensure the home runs seamlessly.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council)
  • Relevant Nursing qualification (e.g., BSc Nursing, Diploma in Nursing)
  • Adequate knowledge, experience, and clear understanding of the nursing role and its professional boundaries
  • Compassionate and caring attitude towards residents and their families
  • Experience in leading a team and supervising care delivery
  • Knowledge of medicine management and NMC Standards for safe administration
  • Understanding of legal and regulatory compliance in nursing care settings

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent nursing care and support to our residents
  • Oversee all aspects of medicine management and ensure safe administration of medication in line with NMC Standards
  • Create and carry out treatment plans tailored to residents' needs
  • Offer a safe, caring, and stable environment for the people we support
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and best practice guidelines
  • Support the Service Manager with key targets by promoting high standards of nursing care and supervising shifts smoothly
  • Support, guide, teach, and mentor other members of your team
  • Work individually and in partnership with the Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home
