Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Children’s Nurse to join our Temporary Staffing Bank. This role offers flexible shifts. The hospital provides care for patients across East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire.

Our hospital offers a range of services including orthopaedic, general surgery, weight loss surgery, eye surgery, and cosmetic surgery. Other services include radiology with MRI and CT, and physiotherapy. We believe it's our people that really set us apart, working with the very best medical professionals.

Requirements

  • NMC registered Nurse with a Children’s qualification - pin should not have any restrictions or conditions
  • Previous experience within a surgical setting advantageous
  • Safeguarding Children and Young People training level 3
  • EPALS / PILS or equivalent desirable
  • Teaching qualification desirable
  • Ability to transfer skills through a variety of clinical areas

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent post-surgical care to paediatric patients
  • Assist in clinics, minor operations and recovery
  • Assist in the delivery of family centred care to meet the health and wellbeing needs of patients
  • Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information
  • Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others
  • Promote best practice in Health and Safety, security, and safeguarding the welfare of children
