St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne is seeking passionate and experienced chemotherapy competent registered nurses to join the Nurse Workforce Unit’s Casual Nurse Bank team, to work within our Chemotherapy Day Unit. Casual positions offer shifts from 0800-1630hrs in a Fitzroy location close to Gertrude St and the CBD. This role provides a challenging and rewarding work environment.
The Chemotherapy Day Unit is part of the Cancer Centre delivering multidisciplinary care for cancer patients, including medical oncology, clinical haematology, sarcoma, clinical palliative care, psychosocial cancer care, and chemotherapy administration. The unit supports consultation clinics, clinical trials in oncology and haematology, cancer nurse coordinators, and a dedicated cancer centre pharmacy. Nurses contribute to comprehensive cancer services in one location.

Requirements
- Current condition free nursing registration with AHPRA
- Chemotherapy trained in both IV and oral medications
- Demonstrated ADAC certified chemotherapy administration qualification
- Current National criminal history check or willingness to obtain
- Current NDIS check or willingness to obtain
- Postgraduate qualification in oncology/haematology nursing preferred
- Experience utilising the electronic MOSAIQ system preferred
Responsibilities
- Work within the Chemotherapy Day Unit as part of the Casual Nurse Bank
- Administer IV and oral chemotherapy medications to cancer patients
- Provide care in multidisciplinary cancer services including oncology and haematology
- Collaborate with consultation clinics, clinical trials units, and cancer nurse coordinators
- Support patients undergoing chemotherapy in a day unit setting
- Contribute to psychosocial cancer care and palliative services
- Utilise the electronic MOSAIQ system for patient management
