About this role
As an ICU Staff Nurse on our bank at Cromwell Hospital, you will deliver a high standard of care to patients undergoing medical treatment. You will have the autonomy to use your skills and strong benefits to support you, making patient care your top priority.
You will be responsible for the assessment of patients' care needs and for the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care. Working as part of the multidisciplinary team, you will ensure high standards of care for patients and their families.
You will practice multidisciplinary team care and contribute actively towards its successful management, acting at all times as the patient advocate. You will work with agreed nursing standards and according to the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code for nurses.

Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN Number.
- Experience in cardiac or general adult intensive care.
- Caring and compassionate professional approach.
- Ability to deliver prescribed treatment safely to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Understanding of the principles of delivering prescribed treatment safely.
- Commitment to working within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and manage direct nursing care to a high standard.
- Assess patients' care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care.
- Work with agreed nursing standards and according to the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code for nurses.
- Be accountable for nursing outcomes and enhance quality of care by assisting with the management of change in nursing practice based on evidence and research.
- Ensure the correct storage and administration of medications in accordance with hospital policies and NMC Standards for Medicine Management.
- Practice multidisciplinary team care and contribute actively towards its successful management.
- Act at all times as the patient advocate.
- Work in accordance with the Nursing Strategy to meet hospital and nursing objectives.
