Holy Angels Residential Facility is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to assist the Director of Nursing in administering healthcare services to residents. This role supports individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a nonprofit residential setting. The LPN plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of residents.

Daily responsibilities include administering medications and treatments following Holy Angels' standards of excellence. The LPN measures and monitors vital signs, documents care accurately, and reports any nursing care problems to the RN. Attention to detail and timely documentation are essential for quality care.

The work environment involves close collaboration with RNs and the Director of Nursing in a supportive team. Requirements

  • Current and valid LPN license in the State of Louisiana
  • Current and valid driver’s license
  • GED or High School Diploma
  • LPN Degree
  • Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, sit, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, use hands, and lift up to 50lbs for two-thirds of the time
  • Must pass drug screen, criminal background check, and driver’s license check

Responsibilities

  • Administers medication and treatment to residents following Holy Angels’ standards of excellence and protocols
  • Measures, records, and monitors vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration
  • Documents care with detail, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Reports any nursing care problems to the RN
  • Performs all other duties as requested by the RN and/or Director of Nursing
  • Provides direct nursing care to residents with developmental disabilities
  • Assists with resident assessments and care plans under supervision
