About this role

This per diem role offers the opportunity to provide top-notch nursing care to over 20,000 dialysis patients at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. You will work with both adult and pediatric patients in the inpatient and outpatient dialysis center, which is open six days a week.

Your shift runs from 11:30 am to 12:00 am, providing flexible scheduling in a compassionate culture of care. You will be an educator, researcher, and innovator at the bedside, contributing to a case mix index that is among the highest in the nation while achieving some of the best measured outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Current New York State RN Licensure.
At least two years of acute care renal RN experience (preferred).
Knowledge of nursing process: social, behavioral, biological and physical science.
Knowledge of current health care environment and customer service principles.
Knowledge of effective interpersonal communication skills and use of computer applications.
Ability to analyze patient care data to deliver and evaluate care.
BCLS certification.
