Harmony United Psychiatric Care is a network of outpatient mental health clinics in Florida, providing comprehensive services through in-person and telehealth visits. The team includes psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioners, and licensed therapists.

In this role, you will conduct psychiatric evaluations, provide medication management, and deliver brief psychotherapeutic interventions. You may also administer long-acting injectable medications as needed, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

You will work with a supportive administrative staff and utilize the latest EMR technology to streamline documentation and treatment. The environment emphasizes compassion, respect, and individualized care for patients aged five and above.

As an independent contractor, you have flexibility to determine your own working hours, with clinic availability Monday through Thursday and telemedicine options on weekends. This role offers a strong focus on work/life balance and full administrative support.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, or one year as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner plus three years as a Nurse Practitioner in any specialty
  • Must be board-certified to practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  • Must have an active license in the State of Florida
  • Work experience in an outpatient setting preferred
  • Graduate degree from an accredited psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program
  • Current DEA registration for controlled substance prescribing

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for patients with a variety of mental health conditions
  • Provide medication management and brief psychotherapeutic interventions
  • Administer injections for Long-Acting Injectables (LAIs) when necessary
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers
  • Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families about mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies
  • Provide documentation of services rendered in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Stay current with advancements in psychiatry through continuing education and professional development
