About this role
We are seeking a part-time (16hr/wk) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team at Merakey in Philadelphia, PA. This role is based at the Mental Health Walk-In Clinic, Philadelphia's first and only behavioral health urgent care for adults aged 18 and older who need same-day mental health care that is not an emergency.
The PMHNP provides comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health urgent care services, conducting evaluations and clinical interventions under the supervision of a psychiatrist. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, quality care, including medication management, triage, and aftercare planning to support long-term recovery.
The clinic serves individuals regardless of income or insurance status, aiming to reduce avoidable visits to crisis centers and emergency rooms. You will collaborate with clinical staff and external providers, supervise an LPN nurse, and educate patients and families about treatment options and recovery strategies.
This is a weekend-focused role with the opportunity to pick up additional hours if desired. You will be part of a pioneering team that puts heart and soul into everything we do, with the chance to make a significant impact on community mental health.
