St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne is seeking passionate and experienced registered nurses to join the Nurse Workforce Unit’s Casual Nurse Bank team for casual shifts in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Located at the Fitzroy main hospital campus, this role offers a challenging and rewarding work environment. A friendly and supportive team awaits.
The Cardiac Catheterisation Lab provides exceptional diagnostic and interventional care for patients with heart conditions. Specialising in coronary angiograms, angioplasty, pacing procedures and structural heart interventions. Our highly skilled team of cardiologists, nurses, and technicians works collaboratively to diagnose and treat heart disease.
Working in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, you will use exceptional clinical skills to efficiently and accurately plan, coordinate and evaluate the care needs of cardiac patients. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely within a friendly and supportive team environment are required. Shifts are available based on supplementary staffing demand.

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience specifically in cardiac cath lab nursing
- Postgraduate cardiac critical care certificate desirable
- Current condition free registration with AHPRA
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
- Current National Disability Insurance Scheme check, or willing to obtain
- Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to patient-centred care framework
- Excellent communication, time management and prioritisation skills
Responsibilities
- Work casual shifts in Cardiac Cath Lab based on supplementary staffing demand
- Plan, coordinate and evaluate care needs of cardiac patients
- Use exceptional clinical skills in dynamic, fast-paced setting

- Provide emergency and elective procedures with focus on patient quality of life
