This position blends field and office work, with an estimated 60% of time spent in patient homes and 40% in the office. You will supervise the nursing team, perform living room visits, and handle a variety of clinical assignments including infusions, wound care, and injections.

Daily work involves monitoring patient conditions, updating plans of care, conducting chart audits, and counseling families on nursing needs. You will also educate staff, prepare QAPI data, and remain available for on-call duties as required.

Requirements

  • Current unrestricted RN license in state of Texas
  • Minimum of 3 years of documented experience required
  • Recent Infusion experience preferred
  • Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
  • Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
  • Clean background and criminal record
  • Negative Pre-Employment Drug Screen
  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull; lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Perform care as defined by patient’s individual Plan of Care and within scope of state’s nurse practice act
  • Supervise and lead Nursing Team
  • Perform Living Room Visits with the team
  • Monitor patient’s condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes
  • Conduct chart audits and prepare clinical reports as required
  • Complete and update plans of care
  • Educate and train staff and conduct orientation on new staff
  • Adhere to State, Joint Commission, and Brightstar policies and procedures
