About this role

This part-time Senior Care Assistant role at Woodside Residential Care Home in Burnley supports older people to live their lives their way. You will need an NVQ level 2 in health and social care and a willingness to complete level 3, along with leadership experience.

The role follows a four-week rotating rota with early and late shifts, including weekends. Typical shifts run from 08:00 to 15:30 or 15:00 to 22:00, ensuring round-the-clock care. You will lead, coach, and motivate a team to deliver high-quality care, supporting residents with kindness and dignity.

Part of Lancashire County Council's Older People Care Services, you will join a committed team serving over 1,000 adults across 16 care homes and 13 day centres. The service vision is to be the best quality service, safely supporting older people with kindness, dignity, care, and compassion.

The role offers a comprehensive induction programme and opportunities to progress within the service. A pay award is pending, and you will have the chance to make a real positive difference to older people's lives. Shifts to suit you are also part of the package.

Requirements

  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care
  • Willingness to complete NVQ level 3
  • Experience leading, coaching, and motivating a team
  • Demonstrate the right values, attitude, and behaviours
  • Ability to work a four-week rotating rota
  • Willingness to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Commitment to providing person-centred care with dignity and compassion
