About this role

We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team as an independent contractor. This flexible position offers a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week with in-person availability for at least 16 hours per week, including a mix of days with at least two afternoon or evening shifts.

In this role, you will provide high-quality care to patients as scheduled while collaborating closely with a designated physician to ensure effective outcomes. You will manage healthcare with compassion, cultural sensitivity, and a focus on preserving patient dignity and rights.

You will work as part of an integrated care team alongside counselors, with onsite staff support Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. The environment includes a great community of therapy and counseling providers onsite, plus virtual connections with medication management providers.

Requirements

  • Required Board License – PMHNP.
  • Ability to commit to at least 24 hours of availability per week.
  • Willingness to work more hours as needed.
  • Openness to working as a 1099 independent contractor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a self-starter.
  • Ability to function as an effective member of an integrated healthcare team.
  • Two years of relevant clinical health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care to patients as scheduled.
  • Collaborate closely with the designated physician to ensure effective patient outcomes.
  • Maintain a professional and patient-centered approach at all times.
  • Manage the healthcare of patients with compassion, cultural sensitivity, and preservation of dignity and rights.
  • Prescribe medications and non-pharmacological therapies based on patient diagnoses, health history, and age.
  • Encourage positive health behaviors through education and counseling.
  • Apply standardized care guidelines in clinical practice.
  • Perform designated procedures and ensure compliance.
