As an Intake Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you'll conduct comprehensive psychiatric intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. Build meaningful connections with patients and families from the start, understanding their needs and educating them on care options. Ensure seamless transitions into ongoing treatment in this remote role requiring a minimum of 10 hours per week.

Work alongside an interdisciplinary team of psychotherapists and specialists to match patients to the right ongoing care. Thrive in team-based environments fostering coordinated treatment plans that address the whole child. Engage families during intake for a warm, supported entry into care.

Requirements

  • Passionate about transforming behavioral health for youth and delivering compassionate psychiatric care
  • Experience working with children and adolescents as a psychiatric nurse practitioner
  • Practiced independently at the top of your scope for at least two years under licensure
  • Excel at building meaningful connections with patients and families from the first session
  • Thrive in team-based environments collaborating with psychotherapists and interdisciplinary colleagues
  • Open to feedback and eager to learn in a supportive clinical community
  • Comfortable using Google Suite, Electronic Medical Records systems, and virtual platforms

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive psychiatric intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults
  • Develop individualized treatment plans addressing unique patient needs
  • Assess patients thoroughly and collaborate with clinical team for strong clinical matches
  • Work closely with therapists and healthcare professionals for integrated care
  • Communicate and engage with families during the intake process
  • Provide education and consultation to patients and families on diagnoses and treatment
