Spire Harpenden Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Bank Staff Nurse to join our experienced and dynamic team on our Surgical Wards. Working with a wide variety of specialisms you will be able to develop your clinical skills in a modern and supportive environment. The hospital offers comprehensive private hospital services to patients from London and northern counties.
Assess patients’ health and wellbeing across a complex and changing caseload. Assist in the delivery of care to meet individuals’ health and wellbeing needs. Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information relevant to surgical patients.
The hospital features 5 state-of-the-art Theatres and modern Surgical and Day Care Wards covering major surgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology, plastics and medical patients. As the largest employer in Harpenden, it prides itself in excellence in clinical quality, customer service and cleanliness. Duties occur in a comfortable and relaxed environment.
Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others through full induction and mandatory training updates. Opportunities for further training and progression into permanent posts are available. Bank colleagues receive support and guidance from Spire’s specialist Resourcing Team.
Requirements
- Current NMC registration with no restrictions on practise
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Good understanding of NMC Code of Professional Conduct and revalidation
- Good knowledge and experience in surgical nursing
- Excellent communication skills
