Requirements

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Licensed Nurse registered in good standing with the governing body
Willing to obtain a nursing license through the regulating body in the provinces or territories you wish to work
Meet required work experience (details discussed during interview)
Valid CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
Ability to travel and work in remote northern communities

Responsibilities

Visit homes and long-term care facilities to provide treatment and support for residents as needed
Monitor and manage stable conditions through regular in-home visits, offering daily or weekly follow-up care
Conduct comprehensive in-home assessments and deliver ongoing care for patients unable to attend clinic appointments
Provide direct nursing care including wound care, medication administration, and patient education
Coordinate with local health teams and family members to ensure continuity of care
Document patient assessments and care plans accurately
