Banyan Treatment Centers dual diagnosis facility has a full-time opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their nursing team as a Staff Nurse. This position reports to the department's Director and receives direct shift support from designated shift leads.
In this direct patient care role you will provide crucial nursing services to patients undergoing treatment for substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Your work ensures the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance while fostering the growth of a dynamic team.
You will work within a full-continuum 60-bed dual diagnosis facility from medically monitored detox through residential and PHP. This gives exposure to the full spectrum of SUD and MH treatment in a mission-driven nationally recognized organization.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
- Experience providing nursing care in behavioral health or dual diagnosis settings.
- Knowledge of medical protocols and standards of practice for SUD and MH treatment.
- Ability to complete comprehensive nursing assessments and admission documentation.
- Skill in administering medications and monitoring for psychiatric symptoms and safety concerns.
- Sound clinical judgment for crisis situations including suicide risk assessment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of the medical provider in accordance with medical protocols and standards of practice.
- Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and required admission documentation within established timeframes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and provide medication education as indicated.
- Assess patient medical needs, determine urgency, and initiate appropriate interventions, referrals, or emergency response as required.
- Monitor patients for psychiatric symptoms, medication effectiveness, and safety concerns, and report changes to the nursing leadership, provider, or treatment team as appropriate.
- Apply sound clinical judgment in crisis situations, including suicide risk assessment and intervention.
