Compass Palliative Care seeks outstanding Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with experience or interest in palliative care. The practice delivers inpatient palliative services in the hospital setting. This Monday through Friday part-time role offers flexible hours.

The practitioner manages an assigned patient load and delivers care focused on comfort and symptom management. Daily work includes assessing patients, defining diagnoses, and documenting findings with follow-up notes. Patient and family education forms a core part of each encounter.

Board-certified physicians lead the program and provide training plus in-service education. They emphasize staff advancement while pursuing the best possible patient outcomes. The environment supports continuous learning within a structured hospital-based palliative service.

Active participation in departmental activities helps refine training methods and meet company goals. The role allows practitioners to deepen palliative expertise while contributing to meaningful patient care in the Corona area hospitals.

Requirements

  • Experience or interest in palliative care
  • Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • Ability to manage an assigned inpatient patient load
  • Skill in documenting clinical findings and care plans
  • Comfort providing care in a hospital setting

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and provide palliative care to best treat the patient
  • Define and document patient diagnoses
  • Deliver patient and family education and management
  • Notate findings and treatment course in patient chart, including follow-up notes
  • Assure all patients are completely satisfied
  • Actively participate in departmental activities to improve training methods and achieve company goals
