About this role

National Health Care Associates is hiring a Nurse Scheduler for their in-house agency, Preferred Professional Services. PPS supplies staff to facilities in the Northeast network of more than 35 short-term rehabilitation and long-term care centers. This full-time position is in a professional office with Monday-Friday day hours and potential on-call.

Schedule and monitor nursing staff in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. Replace callouts to ensure staffing needs are met. Handle dynamic scheduling and adapt to last-minute changes in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Experience scheduling nursing staff for an agency
  • Ability to handle dynamic scheduling needs and adapt to last-minute changes
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience and ability to relate tactfully and professionally with all staff
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and time-management skills
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant and remain calm during emergencies
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
