Staff Nurse / 36 Hours Variable Night / Oncology 11A at The Brigham and Women's Hospital. As one of the largest service lines at BWH, the Oncology team offers a rewarding opportunity to care for patients across hematological and solid-tumor cancer diagnoses.

The role centers on administering treatments including Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Stem Cell Transplants, and CAR-T while delivering patient and family education and support throughout each admission. Nurses also contribute to research studies and protocols supported by the BWH/DFCI Cancer Center.

You will work collaboratively within a strong supportive team on the frontlines of cancer treatment. The environment emphasizes shared governance, allowing staff to help make improvements and foster new ideas in a not-for-profit academic medical center.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required for newly licensed nurses
  • Prior hem/onc experience preferred
  • Prior Epic experience preferred
  • Membership in professional organizations recommended and certification in a specialty area encouraged
  • Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for a broad range of patients with hematological and solid-tumor cancer diagnoses
  • Provide patient and family education and support throughout their admission
  • Administer treatments including Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Stem Cell Transplants, and CAR-T
  • Work collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment
  • Participate in the BWH shared governance structure to help make improvements and foster new ideas
