About this role
Brainkind Neurological Centre York is a purpose-built 40-bed state-of-the-art independent hospital providing high-quality neuropsychiatric, neurobehavioral assessment and rehabilitation for people following an acquired brain injury with additional mental health and physical conditions. Nurses join the team at this brand new flagship service. Hourly rate is £18.80 - £23.05 DOE for bank hours.
Nurses work in partnership with people living with an acquired brain injury to make a difference in their lives. They deliver high quality personalised care and support while acting as positive role models. Collaboration is key in this role.
Nurses enjoy working as part of an interdisciplinary team where everyone’s contribution counts. The environment supports those committed to high standards and willing to collaborate. It fosters a positive, empathetic approach to patient care.

Requirements
- Current professional registration with Nursing & Midwifery Council (RMHN/ RNLD/ RGN)
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible in approach to work
- A friendly and approachable manner with good people skills, showing care and empathy
- The ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Previous acquired brain injury experience (desirable)
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act & Mental Capacity Act (desirable)
- Understanding of Risk assessment and management and its application within practice (desirable)
