Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)
  • BCLS certification
  • New Grad Nurses must complete the Residency Program
  • At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in inpatient psychiatry/medical (preferred)
  • Nursing Certification/s (preferred)
  • Knowledge of nursing process: social, behavioral, biological and physical science
  • Ability to analyze patient care data to deliver and evaluate care

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing practices to behavioral health and medicine patients
  • Apply nursing process incorporating social, behavioral, biological, and physical sciences
  • Analyze patient care data to deliver and evaluate individualized care
  • Utilize knowledge of current health care environment in patient management
  • Implement customer service principles to enhance patient satisfaction
  • Employ effective interpersonal communication skills with patients and teams
  • Document care using computer applications
