Full time opening for a Nurse Practitioner at our growing mental health agency. We thrive on providing excellent care through care coordination, matching patients with ideal services and providers before direct care. Our team leads in therapy services from psychotherapy to psychiatry, including psychosocial rehabilitation, EMDR, and group therapy.

Requirements

  • Experience working with all ages
  • Experience working with Suboxone
  • Able to work with all ages and treat most diagnoses
  • Work independently with medical team and hold specific clinical privileges approved by Medical Executive Board
  • Proficient in English language, both writing and speaking
  • Unrestricted, current, complete, and active graduate professional nurse and nurse practitioner registration
  • Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from ANCC
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing followed by master’s degree in Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, conduct, and prescribe medications for patients with psychiatric-mental health problems
  • Provide emergency psychiatric services and physical and psychosocial examinations
  • Deliver outpatient and residential care to patients with changes or declines in mental status, chronic or urgent medical conditions
  • Perform patient histories and physicals, risk factor assessments, order therapeutic and diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe medications following clinic policy, formulary, and state regulations
  • Consult with physicians on cases beyond PMHNP scope
  • Document all relevant patient data in medical records and case presentations
  • Formulate, execute, and review healthcare education for disease prevention to patients and families
