As a Patient Care Nurse Assistant (PCNA), provide or assist with basic patient care under RN supervision, report abnormal findings and changes in condition, and keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly. Duties include vital signs, weight, personal care, activities of daily living, transfers, pulse oximetry, point of care testing, dressing changes, external monitoring devices, and Foley catheter removal. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Nursing students must obtain BLS prior to hire
Responsibilities
- Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN
- Take vital signs and weight
- Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living
- Perform patient transfers and transport
- Conduct pulse oximetry and point of care testing
- Apply dressing changes and external monitoring devices
- Remove urinary Foley catheters
- Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to an RN
- Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly
